Madrid Masters Venue Guide: Caja Mágica

The Madrid Masters is played at the Caja Mágica, the “Magic Box,” a tennis complex in the Manzanares Park area of Madrid designed by French architect Dominique Perrault. It opened in 2009 and is one of the most distinctive venues on the tour, with three courts under individually retractable roofs.

Estadio Manolo Santana

Estadio Manolo Santana is the centre court, seating 12,442, named after the Spanish tennis legend. It’s the largest clay-court stadium in tennis outside Roland Garros, and every evening session and both finals are played here. Like the other two courts at the Caja Mágica, it has a retractable roof, so rain rarely disrupts the schedule.

The other two courts

Estadio Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, the second court, seats around 3,200, and Court 3 holds around 2,700. Both also have retractable roofs and host earlier rounds from both the ATP and WTA draws. We don’t currently offer tickets for either court, our tickets are for Estadio Manolo Santana.

Getting there

The Caja Mágica sits south of central Madrid, in the Manzanares Park area, reachable by metro with a short walk from the nearest station. During the tournament, extra transport links and signage make the walk from public transport straightforward. Parking near the complex is limited on the busiest days, so public transport is the more reliable option, especially for evening sessions.
