Rolex Paris Masters Venue Guide: Paris La Défense Arena

The Rolex Paris Masters is played at Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, in the La Défense business district west of Paris. This is the tournament’s second year here after moving from Bercy, its home for decades, so if you’ve searched for Bercy or the Accor Arena, this is where the tournament actually plays now.

What changed when the tournament left Bercy

The Accor Arena in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, formerly the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, hosted the tournament from 1986 through 2024. From 2025, the Rolex Paris Masters moved to Paris La Défense Arena, Europe’s largest indoor arena, with a bigger centre court and, for the first time, two additional show courts running alongside it. The Accor Arena is still in regular use for other events, just not this one anymore.

Arena layout and seating

Centre court holds around 16,500 to 17,500 spectators, depending on configuration, the biggest indoor tennis crowd in Europe. Court 1 and Court 2 each hold around 4,000, a genuine addition compared to the single-court setup at the old Bercy venue, and it means more matches run in parallel than the tournament could offer before.

Getting to Paris La Défense Arena

Metro line 1 to La Défense (Grande Arche) is the most direct route, followed by a short walk. RER A also stops at La Défense, and RER E reaches it from Gare Saint-Lazare. From most central Paris hotels, allow 30 to 40 minutes door to door. This isn’t the same station as Bercy, so if you’re used to the old venue, plan the new route rather than defaulting to line 14.

The La Défense district

La Défense is Paris’s main business district, with shopping and restaurants around Les 4 Temps and the CNIT centre, plus the Grande Arche itself worth a look if you have time before your session. It’s a different feel to Bercy’s neighbourhood in the 12th arrondissement, more office towers than village charm, but it’s well served by restaurants and hotels given how much business travel already passes through.

What to know before you go

No outside food or drink is allowed inside the arena. November in Paris runs cool, typically 8 to 14°C outdoors, so bring a coat for the walk in, since the arena itself is heated. There’s no grounds to explore between matches the way there is at an outdoor Grand Slam, so arriving closer to your session’s start time works fine here.
